Red White And Blue Vulcan On Display Take Off After Rain

David Truman | Original Art

A Fine Art collection of atmospheric Steam Train pencil drawings and water colour paintings, capturing the true grit and taste of steam. Also you can almost feel the thrill of flying with the "Red Arrows" captured in the skies of rural Lincolnshire, with my Aviation Art.

You can now visit my Cityscape page and see my Graphite, Watercolour, and Acrylic mixed media work of London and other Cities, they would make a nice memory of London from the Olympics 2012.

Motorbikes, Wildlife studies, Floral paintings, Architectural subjects, Landscapes and Seascapes, Personal Portraits, pets or people are all within my capabilities. If you are a new visitor to my web site, and you have a particular subject request, then I would certainly urge you to talk to me about your desires.

About the artist

I was born in Grantham in 1955, and during my early years of sketching I was greatly influenced by my Uncle Michael. He spent much of his spare time producing excellent oil paintings of horses, and also offered me encouragement when I decided to show an interest in painting . My earliest recollection of serious painting was at the age of 9, this is when I completed a landscape in oils depicting a view across the Wye Valley.

On leaving school I was offered a  course at Lincoln College of Art, where I studied Art and History of Art. Although I graduated from this course. I felt it would be far wiser to follow a more commercial outcome, so I opted to complete my training on a three year Visual Communication course, from which I graduated as a fully qualified Graphic Designer, with a diploma in Art and Design.

I have now returned to my real passion of painting and a few of my works are here on the site.

I have since exhibited my work at The Sam Scorer Gallery in Lincoln, and The Carre Gallery in Sleaford.
